John Robert Powers Arrives in Makassar

[June 15, 2011] After 25 years in Indonesia, John Robert Powers Indonesia finally reached Makassar (South Sulawesi) with its 6th school in the country. The new Makassar School joined the other five schools of John Robert Powers in Indonesia, namely Jakarta (World Trade Center and Kelapa Gading), Surabaya, Medan and Bali.

Under the leadership of Indayati Oetomo, International Director of JRP Indonesia, the 25 years of successful existence of John Robert Powers in Indonesia is supported by the many individuals and corporations that have partnered in Indonesia’s Human Resource Development by offering relevant curriculum system towards the needs and requirements of the country.

The Grand Opening event held on 19th May 2011 coincided with the visit of Mr. Rid C. Upton, President of John Robert Powers International. Mr. Upton conducted a seminar about “Personal Branding” for the opening of the new school. With this strategy, the people of Makassar will be aware that John Robert Powers is about personality development and bringing out the full potential of an individual.

“Makassar is one of the fast-developing cities in Indonesia, and the people in Makassar show the enthusiasm towards improvement,” as stated by Mr. Rid C. Upton when asked about JRP’s decision to choose Makassar as one of the school bases in Indonesia. Furthermore, John Robert Powers Makassar hopes to cater to those who live in the eastern part of Indonesia who wish to improve their skills in communication and inter-personal relationship skills.

With the 6th JRP school in the country, JRP Indonesia is further expected to take a major role in raising Indonesia’s task of people development.
